The tests include:

• Knife Shear – assesses the mesh against repeated knife attacks.
• Dynamic Impact – involves striking the door with a 40kg weighted bag five times over.
• Pull test – to check whether a screen can be removed from the frame using an instrument such as a screwdriver or lever.
• Anti-jemmy – tests whether the door can be prised open or removed with a lever.
• Probe test – this one evaluates whether an intruder can reach in to unlock a door after having first made a gap.
• Shear test – determines whether a screen can be cut using a cutting plier.

To meet Australian Standard AS5041, a security door must pass all six tests listed here.
